Remarks The designation PMMsV is taken from the website reference.This is a Potyvirus and even though the name is similar, it has no relation to Tobamovirus pepper mild mottle virus (PMMV). Limited reports of this potyvirus. This virus name Pepper mild mosaic virus is not recognized by the American Phytopathological Society (APS), the CABI Crop Compendium (CPC), the Association of Applied Biologists (AAB-DPV website) or The International Committee on the Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV). No references found indicating seed as a pathway for PMMsV in peppers. <strong>Available information indicates there is no scientific basis for regulation of PMMsV on pepper seed.</strong>
